Formatting and exporting results

All the data that are displayed in the 4 modules of SeismoSelect are made available to the user in both table and graphical formats are available to users through a number of editing functions.

With regards to tabled data, this can be copied to any other Windows application (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, etc.) by means of the copy command available through the program main menu (Edit > Copy Selection), through the respective toolbar button Copy Selection, through the table popup menu (available with the right-click mouse button) or through the keyboard shortcus (Ctrl+C). The user can select all the values in a table (Edit > Select All) or make use of the selection facility (using the Shift key or the mouse drag function) to select a limited number of table entries.

Users can also copy, to an external Windows application, the plots in all modules of SeismoSelect. This is accomplished through the program menu (Edit > Copy Chart), through the respective toolbar button , through the plot popup menu (available with the right-click mouse button) or through a keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+C).

If a user is interested in visualising, and exporting, only a part of the plot, he/she can zoom in and out by selecting a specific area on the graph (a top-left to bottom-right selection zooms in, whereas a bottom-right to top-left selection zooms out) or by using the corresponding menu commands (View > Zoom In and View > Zoom Out).

Finally, the format characteristics of all SeismoSelect plots can be customised to the user's particular needs and likings, through the Tools > Graph Options , where items such as the background colour, the thickness/style of the line, the font size of the axes legends and plot titles, can all be adjusted to fit the preferences of the user.

Note: When copying data from SeismoSelect, users must make as many digital places visible as desired, otherwise, the values that are then pasted into the external application may not feature the desired precision.
